Changes of Immigration Rules

• Maintenance Fund for the student visa has increased since 01st December 2020
  • £1,334 a month for study in London 
  • £1.023 a month for study outside London
• Application Window
  • Students applying under the new student route from outside the UK now will have up to 6months to do so prior to starting of their course rather than 3 months.
• Time Limit
  • Time limit (CAP system) for the postgraduate student has been removed. As a result, students will be able to pursue more than 1 postgraduate degree, if they want to do so. 
• English Language requirement
  • English Language requirement has become mandatory. Institute/Sponsor must mention in the CAS letter how the requirement has been fulfilled.
• Post-study work permit
  • In the new legislation, the UK government has introduced 2 years of Post-study work right after completing Postgraduate degree and 3 years of work right after successfully completing PhD.
